VT Mobile - How can this be used?

Increasingly, mobile and remote working arrangements are being introduced.  This might be put in place for employees working at no set location or working from home, for some or all of the working week.  With VT Mobile from FlexTime, using any type of smart phone, employees can

-  clock in and out for work

-  request time off from his/her supervisor

-  record time on jobs

Meanwhile, VT Mobile uses GPS technology, to provide managers with vital real-time information on the working times and the whereabouts of their mobile workforce.

Requests for time off:

Time off can be requested from anywhere using VT Mobile's in-built self-service/workflow process. Employees' requests can sanctioned by supervisors, remotely from a mobile phone or from base at a PC or a Tablet.

All of these transactions are available to supervisors in real-time.

Health & Safety:

VT Mobile can also be used for a slightly different purpose i.e. to instantly find out who is present in your workplace from outside the building.  So in the event of an emergency the Health and Safety Officer or whoever is designated, can call up at a mobile phone to determine who is currently clocked in or present.

VT Mobile can also be used simply to find out who has arrived to work - a manager of several business units cannot be in all locations at the one time! So he/she can just tap on the mobile phone and enjoy the comfort of knowing that staffing is adequate at all times.

X Pocket:

You should also ask us about the xPocket mobile device. This is a pocket sized time terminal which the employee can carry around from place to place.

Often it is used to confirm if the employee is or has been in a particular location. So the employee can point the xPocket at a smart card, say fixed to a wall.

The x Pocket is used for identifying the workplace or the activity being performed by reading the code of a simple and economic RFID TAG.
